Post Museum

Shaboury & Associates was assigned to develop a museum space within the new head quarter of Egypt post in the smart village.  The museum collection is selected from the larger collection of the old post museum located, in the historical Post building at Al-Ataba Square in Centre of Cairo. The new museum scenario interprets the development of postal service in Egypt over the years.

The museum comprises a collection of artifacts, pictures and documents that explains the ways in which messages have been delivered within Egypt over the centuries through different sections, the historical section, the section of postal equipment, the section of stamps, the section of postal buildings, the section of transport, the section of costumes, the section of maps and statistics, the section of air mail, the section of conferences and lastly the section of foreign mail.
